Samkhya Yoga in London

Although many Yoga institutes and schools practise more common forms of Yoga, Samkhya Yoga is an ancient form of Yoga which is still taught in some schools across the world.

As written within the Bhagavad Gita:

“To practice yoga, one should go to a secluded place and should lay kusa-grass on the ground and then cover it with a deerskin and a soft cloth. The seat should neither be too high nor too low and should be situated in a sacred place. The yogi should then sit on it very firmly and should practice yoga by controlling the mind and the senses, purifying the heart and fixing the mind on one point.

This form of Yoga is a very special form, as it originates back to the time of Lord Krsna, the Hindu God. It originates from a conversation between Lord Krishna and Arjuna, in which Lord Krishna advised Arjuna on Samkha Yoga and how to become a true Yogi.
